David has been running a hotel for the last 6 years. During the post election violence in 2008, his business was burnt down. This was quite a challenge and rebuilding it has been a tall order. To date, David has been able to diversify into outside catering with plans of purchasing equipment for this purpose. He has 11 employees in his hotel who have an average of 4 dependants each, this translates to impacting an average of 44 lives through his business.
Separately, David formed Mabatini Development Youth Group, a community-based project together with other young people that deals with waste management.
He participated in the August 2010 training held in Kisumu by EPTF. This he says, equipped him with skills that have enabled him to manage business growth and contribute to changing the lives of many young people.
