“There is no substitute for hard work”
Uchi Godfrey Mwando is a single mother of three and runs a grocery shop at Kibandaongo Kinango sub county,Kwale county. She was trained by EPTF on entrepreneurship under the MED’s project. During the training, Uchi was introduced to sessions such as; business idea development, business plan development, marketing and record keeping. After this training she stared her grocery shop business with a capital of 100/- . She also joined a table banking group formed by EPTF where she saved and loaned money from. From the current business in Kibandaongo, Uchi earns an average income of 25,000/- to 30,000/- per month. Her future plan is to grow vegetables locally so that she can produce more organic foods that are safer for consumers.
