Mazeras Methodist Church Youth Group located in Kwale county is made up of 40 members. They meet to encourage themselves in their walk with the Lord (Hebrews 10:24-25). Initially, they had been deliberating about starting a Poultry Farming Business but did not know how they would go about it. Their business idea materialized when they came across the EPTF’s entrepreneurship training under the MED’s project in 2017. After the training, they raised 170,000/- and started the poultry business.
On seeing their good progress, EPTF boosted them with a seed capital of 100,000/- . This has enabled them to house more than 600 birds. In 2018, they diversified by venturing into agribusiness. Despite the challenges that come with the COVID-19 outbreak, they are committed to steward their God given abilities to transform not only their lives but also the lives of the surrounding community.
