Daniel Maundu trained with EPTF in April 2009 in Machakos. Prior to the training, Daniel had started and was running a business in millet processing for about six months. He was bent on getting a loan from the Credit Services Programme in order to enable his business to acquire an electrical machine for processing.
However, after putting the principles he had learned in the training programme into his business, his product sales increased and he was able to purchase an electrical machine worth Kshs.90, 000 (USD 1,200). This greatly enhanced the efficiency of his millet processing firm.
Daniel now has 3 full time employees attributes his success to the business skills he obtained such as book keeping and managing cash flow. He now has his products placed on the shelves of Machakos Supermarkets.
