The Navigators (EPTF) Kenya Trust participated in the International Day for the Conservation of the Mangrove Ecosystem 2023 celebrated at Mwenjeni Village, Lunga Lunga Sub-County on 26th July,2023. The day is set apart to raise awareness of the significance of mangrove ecosystems as “a unique, special and vulnerable ecosystem” and to promote solutions for their sustainable management, conservation and uses.
In attendance is PS Ministry of Environment and Forestry Mr. Gitonga Mugambi EBS, Governor Fatuma Achani Kwale County, County Commissioner Michael Mwangi, Kenya Forest Department and all stakeholders in the environmental area.
The Navigators (EPTF) Kenya Trust through its programs seeks to empower communities in Kwale County on Mangrove Restoration ventures in partnership with existing community groups and other stake holders in the county.
