There was no better way to end the year for the EPTF Board than to have a moment of reflection and invite God to guide in the coming year. This happened at the EPTF’s Board retreat last week, Friday, 30th Nov and Friday, 1st Dec.
Dr. Chris Amulo in his opening devotion shared from the book of Exodus 33; 12-23 and he reminded the members that; ‘Having the presence of the Lord with us is what matters most’ He emphasized that what will distinguish EPTF from any other organization is’ The presence of the Lord in our lives’.
The EPTF Board chair, Margaret Karangatha in her remarks reminded the members that as people who are Committed to Nurturing Kingdom Minded Entrepreneurs they should seek to live Psalm 78; 70-72; …’and David shepherded them with integrity of heart, with skillful hands he led them.’ She added that, ‘as trustees may we be found to be people of integrity in bringing our wealth of knowledge and skills to the leadership of EPTF’
The closing devotion was done by Kevin Kanyottu and he shared from Mathew 7:15-23 and the two key questions that came up were: ‘What kind of fruit are we bearing?’ What does it mean to do the will of the father?’
By the end of the two day EPTF Board review and planning retreat, it was clear that God is calling EPTF once more to take its rightful position in the marketplace, bring light into the darkness and be distinguished from other organizations. This will only be realized if the presence of the Lord is with us, skills are applied with integrity, we are bearing lasting fruits and are seeking to do the will of the father.
