Bee-Keeping value Chain Launch- Simotwo Self-Help Group
Posted: February 23, 2021
On Tuesday 16th February 2021, EPTF launched the Bee-Keeping value chain among members of the Simotwo Self-Help Group in Moiben, Uasin Gishu County. Simotwo Self Help is a table banking group formed to address financial challenges among its members. They were trained under EPTF’s Sustainable Agricultural Project and a majority of them ventured into farming. The group has now ventured into the Bee-Keeping Value chain; a long-term solution to their financial constrains given that the demand for honey in Moiben is very high and its production cost is low.

Simotwo Self-Help Group believes that the Bee-Keeping value chain will strengthen their financial status. This is because they will supplement their income from the proceeds made from honey.
