Business Development Manager

The Business Development Manager will work towards the goal of driving sustainable organizational growth through an effective business strategy; ensure effective & profitable delivery of products & services, forging strong relationships with clients and strategic partnerships.

Job Location

Full-Time/ 3 Year contract

Nairobi with frequent travel to the regions

• Create and ensure business growth strategy that is in line with EPTF’s Vision and Mission
• To initiate and support the development of business opportunities that supports the company’s growth and profitability strategies.

Product and Service Delivery

• To lead in commercializing some of the existing non-commercial offerings of EPTF.
• Undertake market research and stakeholder’s engagement to turn opportunities into    implementable  investment projects.
• Achieve own targets and lead the organization to achieve business growth target and/or overall    organization target.
• Prepare business investment proposals for board review targeting financing from banks, venture   capitalists and donors.
• Work with internal teams to deliver on profitable business opportunities.

Relationship & Leadership

•   Establish and maintain relationships with external stakeholders and partners.
•   Ensure that all EPTF’s business initiatives are in line with Godly principles for business

•  Born again Christian with a passion for growth and maturity in the Christian faith;

• Bachelor’s degree in a business related field
• Master’s degree in business related field will be an added advantage.

Experience :

•  Proven work experience; At least 5 years of proven experience in a similar position.

• Ability to collect and analyze field data.
• Experience in engaging senior executives and financiers.
• Experience in guiding cross-functional teams and managing projects involving multiple functions and departments.
• Time management and planning skills
• Good interpersonal and networking skills.
• Good communication, negotiation and presentation skills with applicable knowledge of MS office suites i.e. Outlook, PowerPoint, Word & Excel and other relevant software’s.
• High sense of responsibility, self-motivated, able to work under high pressure
• Articulate and decisive.
• Good leadership & organizational skills.
• Fluent in English and Kiswahili
