Prior to completing my undergraduate course at the University, a friend introduced me to a two-week business training programme at EPTF, known as the Youth Enterprise Development Programme (YEDP). I was certain that I wanted to start a business and soon after the training I teamed up with a former classmate to undertake a business venture in ICT.
Lessons learned from the creativity class assisted me and my business partner in overcoming the initial challenges of raising capital and making sales. We are now a company with a growing product portfolio ranging from domain registration, web application development, ICT consulting, web design, development and hosting. We introduced a new service targeting SMEs www.getonline.co.ke and are working at building in more products for the market.
