Last October (2010) a team from Kenya had the opportunity to visit Sweden on a learning journey to experience the entrepreneurship environment. After the visit, it became apparent that a business exchange visit could be organized to have Kenyan and Swedish Business persons interact.
EPTF, Economic Projects Trust Fund, in partnership with I Choose Life Africa (ICL), Navigators Africa and NavPartners Sweden, organized a learning journey dubbed The Kenya-Sweden Business Collaboration. The process involved Swedish businesspersons visiting selected local organizations between the 24 & 25 March 2011 with the aim of creating business partnerships. The selected organizations shared their entrepreneurship journey as well as their future plans.
The learning journey ended on 26 March 2011 with an Open Space Forum at Maasai Ostrich Farm in Kitengela, where various local and Swedish entrepreneurs met to interact and learn from one another. This forum created an opportunity for businesspersons to highlight issues faced while conducting businesses and dialogue about possible solutions to these problems. It is with stakeholders under a common interest that ideas are generated, emotions expressed and eventually solutions implemented.

We are set to begin linking selected local organizations to collaborate with Swedish organizations by October 2011. |
