CLIMATE RESILIENT ADAPTION LIVELIHOODS (CRAL) | 2017 -2019

THE GOAL OF THE CRAL PROJECT WAS;

To demonstrate relevant adaptive measures, approaches and interventions that would contribute towards the building of resilience of the vulnerable communities in terms of the biodiversity and ecosystem, reducing their vulnerabilities to climatic shocks and securing employment opportunities, food and income.

THE SET OBJECTIVES WERE;

  • For Two hundred [200] households to be practicing improved land management and gender- sensitive climate resilience agricultural practices and technologies which reduce the negative impact of climate change through enhanced food security and sustainable ecosystems
  • To see the active participation of the resource poor households, particularly women, through producer associations [PA] established and organized around the production and marketing of indigenous chickens, mangoes, moringa oleifera and selected vegetables
  • To build the capacity of the resource poor households on climate change adaptation that contributes towards the development or modification and adaptation of necessary climate resilience development policies, laws and organizational approaches.
